It is school holiday and it is Winter. With high chances of rain and bouts of cold weather outdoor fun is not always possible. Here are three interesting ideas for kids activities this June/ July school holiday. Two activities are indoors and one outdoors and all together these three activities cover adventure, culture and sport for the young, as well as the young at heart!
Slide down a 45m-long Ice Slide
For your little adventurer. The Winter Ice slides at Cape Gate are back. From Saturday 27 June til Saturday 18 July kids can whizz down a 45m-long and 4m-high toboggan ride. Toddlers and preschoolers can slip down the mini-slide. While the kids play in the dedicated snow play area moms and dads are invited to enjoy a hot drink.
The Winter Ice Slide area can be found outside Checkers at Entrance 4. Tickets are R50 for a full rider and R25 for a mini rider. Sessions start on the hour and little tykes can play in the snow and slide to their hearts’ delight for 45 minutes. Please note that children smaller than 3 years must be accompanied on the slides by an adult. No sharing of tubes allowed.
